My name is Fernando Farah - but please call me Nando. I'm a Brazilian-born designer/illustrator based in London since December 1989. I have a BA in Graphic Design from Central St. Martin’s but my interests span a much wider range of disciplines within the visual arts.
For the last 20 years I have ran my own design company, and in that time we went through a number of configurations and transformations and produced work for a formidable number of big clients like Vidal Sassoon, Procter & Gamble, MaxFactor, Adidas, Pepsi, MTV Uk, The Biography Channel, AETN (USA), BBC Worldwide, Heineken, Grants Whisky and many more.
As you flip through this site, I’m sure you’ll notice that my work usually reflects the cheerful and vibrant nature of my country of origin. Illustration, animation and video are very clear markers in my tropical DNA.
The company has now boiled down to just me, combining serious design work for big PR and Advertising agencies with the pursuit of some loopy stuff. This includes: Open Water Swimming (in all sorts of temperatures), recording podcasts with my friends, doing a spot of am-dram and even evangelising about Brazilian food.
Back on the work front, I really enjoy helping clients with their branding and online projects. I also really enjoy turning complex concepts into beautiful laid out slides made in PowePoint, Keynote or Google Slides.
I hope you enjoy the work and feel free to contact me if you'd like some help with your projects.
